Engage a proper ‘green new deal’ by creating a renewable energy industry. Follow through with the Campaign Against Climate Change’s call for 1 million green jobs.
Build wind turbines wherever the wind blows. Put solar panels on the sides of tall buildings (and on roofs). Attempt to dig heat-pumps in suitable areas. Mass-produce these things in factories and within a year the cost of production will have dropped by at least quarter.
As a renewable energy infrastructure is built, slowly scale down output from carbon-based energy sources.
Research and develop an electric passenger plane capable of carrying at least 30 people. Alongside that attempt building a fleet of dirigibles for transport of goods.
